Drainage system

The drainage system heroal DS has been developed in order to implement barrier-free thresholds for entrance doors, French and lifting-sliding doors and at the same time protect the interior against damages due to moisture. This reliable solution ensures that surface water drains off without any backflow. It complies with the German standards DIN 18040-1 and DIN 18040-2, referring to barrier-free construction.

The heroal DS drainage system, combines full accessibility and protection against moisture damage into a single system for the first time. Thanks to this product, heroal was awarded the BATIMAT Innovation Award 2015 at the Batimat trade fair. The term “accessible” had previously meant that door thresholds were no higher than 20 millimetres. With zero barrier from heroal, large openings can now be completely level with the ground.
